NI Media Limited is a publishing and media company that specialises in the promotion of the hospitality industry in Ireland. We publish a bi-monthly magazine – YesChef the magazine for lovers of good food and run a number of awards programmes including The YesChef Awards and The Irish Hotel Awards. We provide a free digital subscription to YesChef magazine and regular email updates from YesChef the magazine, The Irish Hotel Awards and TeamYesChef.
At NI Media Limited the privacy and protection of all personal data is prioritised. If we have contacted you regarding inclusion in one of our publications we will collect your name, address, contact telephone number/s, website and email address.

If you sign up to our subscription list we collect your name, email address and business name if relevant.

If you are an employee or an agent of NI Media Limited we will collect your personal details including the financial details required to process payroll.

Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site – www.nimedia.net such as;
Name – We use your name in any correspondence we may have with you either by phone, letter or email
Email address – We send your digital copy of YesChef magazine via email and will send you informational messages as well as offers, including those from third parties which may interest you.
Telephone numbers – If you are an existing client and there are any problems with your order or we need to check anything, we need to be able to contact you quickly. We may also contact you with sales or membership offers.

NI Media Limited have a legitimate interest in further processing the information which is provided by customers at the point of sale for marketing purposes.

We treat all personal data confidentially and we do not sell, rent or lease customer lists to third parties. We may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail, SMS,) or post with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you.

We ensure that all personally identifiable information held on our customers and employees remains within the EEA. We do not share your data with any other third parties at the time of writing this policy.
WHERE DO WE STORE AND PROCESS PERSONAL DATA?
We are committed to ensuring that there are appropriate technical controls in place to protect your personal details including from misuse and unauthorised access. For example, all staff laptops are password protected, databases and spreadsheets with personal information are password protected. Personal data is in excel format and is stored in a cloud facility – Google Drive. Drive is encrypted using SSL, the same security protocol used on Gmail and other Google services. Personal data can only be accessed by NI Media authorised and trained staff and is password protected.
RETENTION PERIOD
NI Media Limited retains all customer information for 5 years after they last interacted with us. Where there has been a period of 5 years and where has been no interaction between the organisation and the customer within this time, their information is erased and securely disposed of.
RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
You have the right to withdraw consent from our marketing at any given time. You can exercise the right at any time by contacting us. However, we will still be required to notify you of changes to the privacy policy, terms and conditions and any other legal requirement. To do this we will retain certain details, such as your name, to help us ensure that you are not contacted again.
You have the right to make a Subject Access Request to NI Media in the event that you wish to determine what information we hold on you. We welcome these requests and aim to respond within 3 weeks of receipt.
You have the right to request your data to be erased.
You have the right to rectification. If you notice that any of your details are incorrect please contact us, we will be more than happy to rectify this.
You have the right to portability. This is where you would like to transfer your data to another organisation.
